Codetalkers


The Stork Club was a perennial NYC hotspot throughout its years of operation from 1929-1965. Owner Sherman Billingsley used an elaborate series of hand gestures to communicate in code with his nearby assistant. This gesture of touching his tie indicated "No check for this table".
